Ted Moses will bring back the
Great Whale Hydroelectric Project.
|
I do not support the
construction of the Great Whale Hydro project.
Over the years I have taken various political
actions to prevent the construction of the project
as instructed by the Cree Nation. When Jean
Charest and Mario Dumont promoted the construction
of Great Whale in the last Quebec election
campaign I spoke out against it as Grand Chief.

Ted Moses has received
millions of dollars for signing the “paix des
braves”. |
This is impossible. This
could not be done without someone knowing about
it. If anyone knew about it I, and many other
people, would face charges. This is simply
slander for use in a political campaign.

Ted Moses received
preferential contracts for beaver relocation. |
All tallymen are eligible to
receive contracts to carry out beaver relocation
projects. I happen to be a tallymen of my
traditional hunting territory and exercised my
rights as a recognized Cree tallyman. |
|
Ted Moses is giving away the
Rupert River.
|
The Rupert River was slated
development in the 1975 JBNQA signed by the Crees.
The Paix des Braves calls for the removal of the
plan to develop the Broadback and Nottaway rivers
from the 1975 JBNQA if the Rupert river diversion
gets environmental approval. |

Ted Moses is part of a
cover-up of contamination in Ouje-Bougoumou.
|
There is no cover-up. The
situation is being addressed by internationally
recognized professionals in the field in a
responsible manner. The emotions of
Ouje-Bougoumou people are being manipulated for
political ends. The people who are making these
claims are relying on individuals who are not
experts and portraying public information released
last year as evidence of cover-up and
sensationalizing it.
|
|
Ted Moses is ignoring the
Mocreebec people concerns of 10 year clause.
|
Two years ago Chief Randy Kapashesit refused the Grand Council offer to have
a dialogue on this issue but now asking for the
same dialogue through courts. This is not just a
Cree issue but will require the approval of Quebec
and Canada |
